Polar OwnZone®: Determines personal heart rate limits for an exercise session.
The Polar OwnZone (OZ) feature determines an individual exercise zone. It guides you through an appropriate warm-up routine and automatically determines a safe and effective exercise heart rate zone - your OwnZone - while taking into account your current physical condition.
You may choose to accept this zone or use your own manually prescribed one.

Polar OwnCal®: Counts and displays calorie expenditure.
You can set daily and weekly exercise goals in terms of calorie expenditure with the OwnCal feature.

Summary file at end of session : At the end of a session the Polar RS100 allows the user to review, duration of exercise, heart rate average for the entire session, the training limits applied, how long you spent "in zone" and the amount of calories burnt with % of fat calories.
The training file also contains the following information: Date and start time, duration of exercise, average heart rate (in bpm or %), maximum heart rate (bpm or %), training zone applied, time in this zone, time above the zone and time below zone, Total calories burnt, number of laps, best lap time, lap time with average heart rate and heart rate at end of lap.

The Polar RS100 has a flexible display and allows the user to view the data that is most important to them, i.e. Calories, Total Time and Heart Rate.
