Features
Polar OwnCal● Calorie expenditure
Polar OwnZone● automatic calculation of training zone intensity with audible and visual alarms.
● The Polar CS300 allows you to let the heart rate monitor set your training zone for you. This is generally about 65-85% of Max HR.
● The training zone is determined by the watch following a 5 minute walking / jogging test. You may choose to accept this zone or use your own manually prescribed one for your own personally set heart rate training zone (BPM or %MaxHR)
Multiple Heart Rate Training Zones ● The Polar CS300 allows the user to autoset 4 x heart rate zones, hard (80-90% max HR), moderate (70-80%), light (60-70%) and basic (65-85%). Plus, the user has the ability to add their own MANUAL zone (x 1)
Polar Cadence ● Providing accurate pedal revs per minute. This is an optional extra on the CS300. Also features a CADENCE ALARM so the user can set a required cadence threshold, i.e 80 - 95 rpm with audible alarm when over or under max / min cadence.
Cycling Intensity ● A calculation that gives a kcal/h rate.
Auto Start option● Stops recording when static, restarts when moving.
1 x Exercise Set● Create training sessions with individual settings for duration and heart rate limits. A feature that allows selecting exercise programs for interval training including heart rate target zones and recovery calculations.
Bike 1/2● Allows you to store details for 2 different bikes.
2 x Countdown timers● These can be used together or just one. They will auto repeat. For example, 1 x 5 mins 1 x 3 mins, then repeat, or just bleep every 5 mins. This is useful for interval training.
Cycling Speed and Distance● Plus optional cadence.
14 x Exercise Files● With a maximum total time of 99 hours and 59 minutes.
● Daily, weekly and seasons totals.
● Polar CS300 active views while riding / exercising (buttons may require pressing to toggle through these displays quickly and easily)
Speed ● Distance, Speed and heart rate
Cadence ● Current speed, average speed, alternating, Cadence and heart rate
Duration ● Total expended calories, session duration and heart rate
Time ● Estimated time of arrival (based on cycling speed), time of day and heart rate
Zone Pointer ● In Zone pointer and time spent in training zone, lower / upper limit values and heart rate
Energy Output / Calorie Consumption● (only when in cycling mode). This tells the user how quickly they are burning calories. Also displays average heart rate, energy output (cal/km) and calorie consumption (cal/h) plus heart rate.
Timers ● Timer 1 or Timer 2 displayed, plus time left and heart rate.
Graphical Comparison ● (only when in cycling mode) In this mode there are 3 bars on the display, each bar is made up of 12 segments. These segments are used to represent current heart rate versus max HR, Speed (1 block = 3mph / 5kmh to a max of 50kmh or 30mph) and Cadence (1 block = 30 rpm to a max of 150 rpm).

This is basically a replacement for the Polar S150 and S520.
Please note, the speed and cadence sensors are sealed for the CS series. The expected life of these units is 2500 hours. The S series speed and cadence sensors are not compatible with the CS series.
The watch unit has a sealed battery and the Polar Wearlink heart rate transmitter has user change battery.
